SOS...RUS is a diptych exploring concepts of shortened communication, call and response messaging, text as landscape, and typographical mapping.
In the early 1900s, SOS was a unique Morse code distress signal and a call to action. In contrast, RUS is less popularized, rooted in the 1990 and early 2000 message boards and SMS messaging --it's a response that often expresses anger or disbelief.
